Welcome to the Westside Coalition
Welcome 2023!
We are looking forward to great things this year!
As we look forward to what 2023 is going to bring we have a lot of reasons to be hopeful. There is much attention on not only the problems on our streets, but the root causes. Those can be painful to look at but if we don't want to repeat those mistakes we have to honestly look at what we have been doing and how we can do better. We welcome your input and encourage you to reach out. Together we can do this!
Learn More about WCThe Westside Coalition is an alliance of 75 organizations, public agencies and faith communities committed to working collaboratively on issues of housing, hunger and health through service coordination, public education and advocacy.
The Westside Coalition is a non-profit volunteer organization that currently operates under the fiscal sponsorship of Mount Olive Lutheran Church. The coalition was founded in 1982 to serve the Westside of Los Angeles County and is reportedly the oldest coalition in the county working on behalf of the poor and homeless. Since that time the Westside Coalition (Formerly the Westside Shelter & Hunger Coalition) merged with the Westside Health Coalition. Throughout its history, the Westside Coalition has proven to be an effective tool in providing collaborative, high-quality programs and services for those in need in our community. Coalition Monthly MeetingsThe Westside Coalition meets every third Thursday on Zoom at 9:00am although in-person meetings are coming back soon.
